Good point, Robin -- I'd like to add that our aim is to ensure a fair and equitable experience for all participants. Allowing voters to read some of the poems before the others could potentially create an unfair advantage for those who submit their work first...

You're absolutely right, Dawn, there should be a more convenient way... I'm happy to inform you that we've added a new button on members' profile pages called 'Nominate'. By simply clicking on this button, you can easily submit one of your existing poems to the contest.

We hope this new feature enhances your experience and streamlines the submission process. Give it a try and let us know how it goes! Wishing you the best of luck with the contest!

I have no straightforward response to this feedback to be honest. On one hand, displaying the poet names before the contest can enhance transparency, but on the other hand, concealing them can avoid voters from being influenced by external factors like reputation or previous work. As a middle-ground solution, we have opted to display the poet initials, which we hope is a suitable compromise.

Robin just brought to my attention that Gerald Logie was actually the first poet to win first place twice… apologize for the oversight on my part. It seems that there may be a competition brewing to determine the first poet to win three times and settle the question of who truly is the better poet :-)

I understand. Our policy allows for up to five free submissions per month that are selected towards the end of the application period. However, we receive a significant number of inquiries, so the chances of obtaining a free submission are not very high...
