The Kia Logo
This page is about the meaning, origin and characteristic of the symbol, emblem, seal, sign, logo or flag: The Kia Logo.
The Kia car manufacturer logo has gone through several changes since the company's inception in 1944. The earliest version of the logo featured the Korean characters for "Kyungsung Precision Industry," which was the name of the company at the time. In 1952, the company changed its name to Kia Industries, and the logo was updated to feature the English letters "KIA" in a bold, sans-serif font.
Recently Kia introduced a new logo as part of a brand relaunch. However, there was some initial confusion and criticism of the logo, as some people read it as "KN" instead of "KIA" due to the overlapping letters.
