Rada Krivokapic-Radonjic is a Montenegrin fashion designer and stylist. She is known today for her elegance and style. She is founder of the luxury brand Rada Radonjic in 2005. Rada Krivokapic-Radonjic was born in the southern Montenegrin town Kotor, where she was raised with her older brother Radoslav (sailor) by her mother Vidosava (medical worker), whose parents were Andrija and Dobrana, and father Djuro (factory worker), whose parents were Bogdan and Joka. While at elementary school at the "Njegos" in Kotor, Rada Krivokapic-Radonjic aspired to a career in fashion design, particularly and after graduation at secondary school of chemical sciences in Kotor, she went to Art Design Academy according to the Paris system in Belgrade, Serbia.

Design career

After her graduation, Rada went to become a fashion designer and stylist at fashion cult emission 'Styling' on state television in which capacity she gained valuable experience in the marketing aspect of the fashion industry. She founded brand Rada Radonjic in Kotor. In the middle of 2006 Rada started her own business that she designed her fashion collection 'Ostvarene riječi' (en. Realized words) inspired by her deceased father. In 2010, Rada Krivokapic-Radonjic collaborated with a Montenegrin model Filip Kapisoda. Kapisoda said that he ended his model career with his appearance on her fashion show because of graduating. Rada Krivokapic-Radonjic was impressed by his words. A few months later, she hardly endured a tragic end of his life. She thinks he had a lot to show this world. In 2018, she had a number of fashion shows and four children Nedjeljka, Valentina, Nebojsa and Teodora. This led to period of extensive working during which Rada worked as a fashion designer for a number of TV media groups, music spots etc. The international press was quick to acknowledge Rada’s importance following the fashion show which is called "Ispocetka" (en. Start over) in the cities of the former Yugoslavia. In that period she felt she had to make use of a new and unconventional advertising methods. Rada Krivokapic-Radonjic designed a new clothing item Kovilm for fashion show which is called "Svijet bez sukoba" (en. The world without clashes (2019)), the success of which led to a following long term collaboration with the world of 21. Century. Kovilm is a garment object worn by men around the neck. It represents the transformation of the predecessor of the tie and bow-tie.

Biografija

Djevojačko prezime Krivokapić, pravo ime Radojka od oca Đura (otac Bogdan i majka Joka) i majke Vidosave (otac Andrija i majka Dobrana) Kaluđerović. Otac je radio u industrijskom ležaju u Livnici Kotor, a majka je bila zdravstveni radnik u Opštoj bolnici Kotor. Djetinstvo joj je obilježeno sa puno roditeljske ljubavi. Mladost pamti po luksuzu koji joj je omogućio brat Radoslav, pomorac. Završila osnovnu školu „Njegoš“ u Kotoru i njeni učitelji bili su Veljko Roganović i Jasmina Rešetar. Završila srednju hemijsku školu u Kotoru i započela praksu u laboratorijama Opšte bolnice Kotor kod razredne Radmile Bogdanović. Kao devojčica izrazila je želju da postane modna kreatorka i ima četvoro dece koja je kasnije i ostvarila. Rodila djecu Neđeljku (1999), Valentinu (2001), Nebojšu (2007) i Teodoru (2013).

Završila školu i specijalizaciju za modnu kreatorku i stilistkinju u Beogradu 1996. po Pariskom sistemu za jednu generaciju učenika u saradnji sa akademijom likovnih umjetnosti sa nastavnim planom i programom u trajanju od četiri godine u kontinuitetu, kreirajući kadar sposoban za brzo uključivanje u praksu kod najpoznatijih svjetskih kreatora u trajanju od godinu dana. Momčilo Kovačević, direktor škole. Praksu završila u Milanu 1997. kod jednog od najpoznatijih svjetskih kreatora Giorgio Armani koji je upoznao i sa nekoliko najboljih svjetskih kreatora gdje je Rada imala priliku dopuniti svoje dotadašnje znanje. Praksu je obavljala i kod konstruktorke odjeće Ljiljane Kovač. Doktorat modnog dizajna završila u Beogradu 1998. Položila majstorske ispite po uzoru njemačkog majstorskog ispita koje je finansirala njemačka Vlada godine 2018. : pravo, stručna i radna pedagogija, trgovina i privreda

Radila je na državnoj televiziji na kulturi odijevanja voditelja i muzičara. Emitovana je njena kultna modna autorska emisija "Styling". Modni studio "Rada" je u saradnji sa vlasnicama modnih agencija Sonjom Štilet i Emom Čivović radio sa manekenima za potrebe snimanja filmova, reklamnih spotova za inostrane televizijske kuće i Radinim modnim revijama pod nazivima „Ostvarene riječi” i „Moja zvijezda”. Uzela učešća na muzičkom festivalu u vidu osmišljavanja i realizacije stajlinga izvođača. Držala je predavanja o modi. Kreirala jeans kolekcije za modne brendove. Idejni tvorac brenda "Baccara" jeans. Sarađivala je sa najpopularnijim i najljepšim crnogorskim manekenom Filipom Kapisodom koji je njenom revijom pod nazivom „Kotor” završio manekensku karijeru. Učestvovala na prvom crnogorskom Fashion week-u. Održavala je samostalne modne revije uz direktan tv prenos. Imala učešća na Internacionalnim manifestacijama. Prvu prodaju svojih odjevnih predmeta imala je u gradu u kojem živi Kotoru i u glavnom gradu Podgorici. Bila je članica udruženja kreatorki visoke mode Crne Gore. Radila je maske za najbolje karnevalske grupe. Napisala knjige "Odijevanje" i "Krojenje i šivenje". Radila u uspostavljanju tehničke infrastrukture i optimizaciji prema manekenkama koje su nosile modele poznatih brendova. Primila majstorsko pismo u Beogradu, septembar 2018. Dizajnirala novi odjevni predmet Kovilm koji predstavlja preoblikovanje prethodnika kravate i leptir mašne i čiji je uspjeh doveo do dugoročne saradnje sa svijetom 21. vijeka.
