    I think it looks more like a turtle or tortoise. And as a symbol of adaptivity and longevity based on the same facts you described. However, I believe that the legend of Amut may have been in correspondence with at least central Africa, And he has those characteristics. He is also hungry for meat. Which I don't think this symbol is sharing. Do you have an opinion?
