I want to use one of the images on SYMBOLS.com as a logo for a company. Can I do that?

If you know that the sign is not a protected trademark or logo for any other company, and as long as you re-draw it yourself, you can include it in you works. (A much easier way is to purchase the SYMBOLS '98 Encyclopedia Pro version, which includes 2,400 images from the encyclopedia in high-resolution, free to use.)

Please note: You may not use any of the actual images that can be found on the SYMBOLS.com web site without prior consent from HME Media. All images remain the property of HME Media. Write to tobias@hme.se for more information.

As an art school teacher, may I use the signs on the SYMBOLS.com web site for demonstration purposes?
