An ideogram found on computer keyboards that indicates hexadecimal numbers. In the same way as our normal counting system is based on 10 and has 10 digits, the binary system (having only two digits, O and 1) is based on 2, the hexadecimal system is based on 16 (and has 16 digits or signs: O, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, A, B, C, D, E, and F).
