This sign has been used for dewin some meteorological systems.  can be seen as a pictorial sign for the rising sun. On nautical charts it is sometimes used to signify permanent navigation mark with unestablished form. Compare with the 5,000 year old god's staff  from the Euphrates-Tigris region, and with similar signs from the beginning of this group. Refer also to  for halo around the moon.
