25:16

25:20 · The star of Ischtar, i.e. the planet Venus. Ischtar, in other countries and times called Astarte, was the goddess of war, sex and fertility. An eightpointed star sign often represented this goddess in the Near East for a great many centuries before the birth of Christ. For the origins of this way to represent her, see 29:13 in Group 29. This version of the eightpointed star was found on a Babylonian seal from around 800 B.C.
Today, in the same region where Ischtar/Astarte was worshipped, the star of Venus is often drawn , and appears together with the crescent of the waning moon as 24:64 on flags for many or most of the Islamic countries there.
