18:09

18:8 · This rune from the earliest rune alphabet is yet another example of the straight line combined with the circle segment to form an open sign. Its name is believed to have meant aurochs, and it is in such a case a variation of the rune 16:8 in Group 16. In later rune alphabets its name possibly meant slag or dross.
According to the Old Norse Eddan this rune was used as a help against soot, sorrow, and disputes.
