    I the Euphrates-Tigris region in the form represented the highest god, the sun god Shamash. Assyrians all over the world recognize a fourpointed star sign as their ethnic symbol. As such it is often drawn with a circle in its middle and with wavy lines emanating diagonally from between the star's points. See in Group 30.
